CV Dealer celebrates 80 edition milestone

October 2008 saw the 80th edition of CV Dealer magazine published. The magazine continues to go from strength to strength; the editor, Jason Hodge commented, "CV Dealer remains the only magazine in the commercial vehicle industry. There are plenty of magazines for fleet owners and owner drivers - we cover the news from a different perspective."

Launched in March 2002, the magazine was designed to target any people involved in the buying, selling and servicing of trucks and vans - from franchised dealers to private independent traders.

A typical letter from a CV Dealer reader, received from issue 79:

Dear CV Dealer ,

Just thought Id take five and drop you a line of thanks . We are an independent LCV dealer of 30 years based in Glasgow and also run a vehicle rental fleet being a franchise for Sixt rent a car . I receive many editorials each week / month most of which get filed in the bin . However I find CV Dealer an invaluable little nugget of relevant trade focused information .

I attend Manheim and BCA LCV sales each week and find your auction overview 100% accurate and is a great opportunity for me to take stock and focus on the UK auction scene and not just here in the North . There is no other publication to my knowledge that is so relevant to our industry . It would be easy for me to battle on and never mention my thoughts but I felt that your publication was so useful that it was worth taking five minutes to send you my thoughts .
